Verwandlung In Blau by Alex Becker22 APRIL 2013 – Guerilla Galleries London‘s international connections are growing by the minute with Alex Becker swelling the ranks. The Bournemouth-based artist who joined the gallery this month is a native of Bremen, Germany now living on the sunny south coast.
A gallery spokesman said: “London is truly the most cosmopolitan city on earth and we’re so thrilled to have Alex join us. It sounds almost patronising and tabloid-ish to use the term ‘foreign legion’ but we’re blessed with being able to reflect just how brilliant the London art scene is at attracting talent from further afield. It’s great.
“Alex is a pretty cool character but we’ll be throwing the spotlight on some of Alex’s work later on this month and we hope to get some of his work – previously unseen in the UK – up at our Shoreditch gaff.”
Becker joins a truly international troop that includes and has featured artists from Spain, Italy, France, Czech Republic, Ireland, Chile, Suriname and Cornwall (only joking my lovelies).
It is hoped that Becker’s pieces including Vewandlung In Blau (pictured above) will make its London debut soon.
