Guerilla Galleries is offering a new or first-time curator and assistant curator opportunity to cut their teeth ahead of its January 2015 exhibition entitled FORBIDDEN at Islington’s Daniel Libeskind Space. This is an unpaid internship, where you’ll be working within an experienced team and a host of artists at varying stages of their creative journey.
It is important to Guerilla Galleries that this opportunity is made available to someone starting out or anxious to pursue a career in this field and who can rise to the challenge of this unique10,000 sq ft space and working within a team.
The gallery is a London-based art concern that provides a platform for new and emerging artists to showcase, market and promote their work through avant-garde events, exhibitions and other opportunities. It enriches people’s lives by using art and the creative processes to engage and empower audiences and in doing so share knowledge, understanding and all the enjoyment contemporary art brings.
Ideally the successful candidate will hold a degree in a relevant subject or have experience of working with a range of objects, artefacts and artists in a museum or gallery environment. Good organisational and communication skills are essential for this role.
