19 Mar 2013 – Following on from its initial foray into nude gallery viewings Guerilla Galleries will be doing it again, but this time keeping it under wraps. A gallery spokesperson said: “Our first attempt was well received but having canvassed our punters we’ll be introducing some welcome protocols into proceedings.”
January’s 100% NUDE show saw more than 200 individuals accepting the clothing optional invite to view artwork at Islington’s Daniel Libeskind Space.
“Amongst other things, guest will be advised to check their camera-phones in on entry and observe a 90-minute no-picture policy, which is only fair all things considered. We are keen on being more inclusive and allowing naturists, nudists and the body-freedom campaigners to enjoy art.”
Although the Guerilla Galleries clothing optional viewing of ART & PROTEST takes place on Wednesday 3 April and is a ticket-only affair, the gallery is expecting it to be rip-roaring success.
Artist featured in this latest show includes Miguel Ivorra, Keeley Wynn, Sarah Wyld, Dan Fox, Ben Mellor, Charlotte Ratcliffe, Irene Godfrey, Gee Street Artist, Natasha Porter, Michaela Mysokova, David Folan, Randolph Hoyte, Nicholas Baldion, Orinthia Tyrell and veteran Voice Newspaper photographer Rudy Atwell.
